Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan continues its systematic efforts to strengthen trade and investment cooperation with international business circles.

As part of the 4th International Exhibition “Food Products, Ingredients, and Production Technologies — UzFood 2025” in Tashkent, a delegation from METRO Russia visited the production facilities of leading Uzbek food industry enterprises, including Crafers, Candy Gold, and BMB Holding.

During the visit, direct negotiations were held, focusing on organizing regular supplies of Uzbek products to retail networks in Russia, creating a list of in-demand goods, as well as discussing logistics and potential delivery routes.

METRO is one of the leading global operators in wholesale trade, servicing the HoReCa segment and independent trade organizations. It operates in 34 countries, including Russia, where it has opened 93 trading centers in 51 regions since 2000. METRO employs around 11,000 people in Russia.

The visit marks another step in expanding Uzbekistan's export potential and strengthening the presence of Uzbek products in foreign markets.
