A branch of the Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology opens in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on establishment of a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “D.I. Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology” in Tashkent city.
The main activities of the Branch will be the training of highly qualified engineering and technical personnel in accordance with international educational standards, capable of solving the most important scientific and technological tasks of the industrial sectors of the republic, conducting basic and applied scientific research in the field of chemical technology of nanomaterials, materials science and material protection from corrosion, material processing and other industries.
The branch will carry out training, retraining and advanced training of specialists at all levels, including the training of scientific and pedagogical staff, in accordance with the University’s areas of undergraduate education and graduate specialties, taking into account the need for personnel.
The branch will be trained in Russian in accordance with the federal educational standards of the Russian Federation based on curricula and educational programs approved by the University in coordination with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
The educational activities of the Branch starts from the 2019/2020 academic year. The branch prepares personnel in 4 areas of undergraduate and 2 areas of magistracy.
The branch will be located in the buildings of the Mirzo-Ulugbek industrial vocational college, located at the address: Tashkent, Mirzo-Ulugbek district, the TTZ-1 massif, 47 on the right of gratuitous use.
Branch graduates, who have been trained on the basis of state grants, are subject to distribution to work in the organization of the republic for subsequent obligatory working off for a period of at least five years.
