A delegation of Uzbekistan pays visit to Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An interdepartmental delegation of Uzbekistan led by First Deputy Minister of Justice M. Istamov is in Japan to participate in joint activities on administrative procedures and administrative proceedings in Tokyo and Nagoya.
The goal is not only to study law enforcement and judicial practice, legislation on administrative procedures in Japan, but also to present the legislation and practice of Uzbekistan in this area, to establish a direct dialogue with compatriots who live, work and study in the Land of the Rising Sun.
From 11 to 16 March, the delegation will hold a series of meetings, in particular, with members of parliament, in the ministries of foreign affairs and justice of Japan, to discuss issues of further deepening cooperation.
Among the priority areas of cooperation between two countries to assist in implementation of the concept of administrative reform in the Republic of Uzbekistan is an inventory of regulatory acts in the field of administrative procedures, joint research in this area, preparation of comments to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on administrative proceedings, as well as a comparative review of the legislation of Uzbekistan and Japan on administrative procedures on practical examples (cases).
The delegation also includes the Chairman of the National Movement Yukksalish Akmal Burkhanov, who will hold meetings with compatriots. The movement aims to voluntarily unite citizens and compatriots abroad, non-governmental non-profit organizations to assist in the implementation of the planned reforms in Uzbekistan. In this regard, it is important to inform people about the changes in the country, to establish a constant and open dialogue with them, in order to provide them with help and support, if necessary.
Many compatriots abroad come up with ideas and initiatives to promote the economic, tourist potential and image of Uzbekistan on the world stage. Uzbekistanis in Japan are no exception. So, they propose to open a center of culture and education for holding various national holidays and events, learning the native language and history.
According to the compatriots, the creation of a business center will help inform business people of the two countries about the opportunities and the investment climate. A consultative center is called upon to promptly resolve issues arising among citizens of Uzbekistan in Japan, including those of a legal nature.
All these initiatives will be discussed in detail during the meetings of the Chairman of the Yuksalish National Movement A. Burkhanov with compatriots.
