Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 January 2025, the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan released an updated list of internet resources deemed extremist and prohibited from being disseminated within the country.
According to the legislation, such materials are not allowed to be imported, produced, distributed, or displayed.
The oversight of detecting radical content on the internet is carried out by the Committee on Religious Affairs, in cooperation with the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Agency for Information and Mass Communications. The Supreme Court makes the final decision on banning resources.
The most recent data indicates that the list includes 203 Facebook pages, 713 Telegram channels, 226 Instagram profiles, 135 YouTube channels, 35 Odnoklassniki pages, 44 TikTok pages, 13 websites and apps, and 20 other sources.
