Manchester City and Lens continue negotiations for Abdukodir Khusanov’s transfer
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — English club Manchester City and French club Lens are continuing negotiations regarding the transfer of Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov.
Renowned football insider Fabrizio Romano reported that the deal is in on.
The expected transfer fee could range from €20 million to €40 million.
According to Foot Mercato, the 20-year-old Khusanov has attracted the interest of more than 10 clubs, including Real Madrid.
In addition to Manchester City, other clubs showing interest in the player include Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and PSG.
Abdukodir Khusanov began his career at Bunyodkor, then played for Belarusian club Energetik-BGU. In the summer of 2023, he moved to Lens for €100,000. Since then, he has become a key defender for the French club and has drawn the attention of top European teams.
