Uzbekistan sows crops on 2.076m hectares
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
As of 1 April 2009, the total area under main crops in all types of farms (including winter crops for yield of 2009) was 2.076 million hectares in Uzbekistan.
About 1.35 million hectares of land was allocated under wheat, 344,770 hectares under cotton and 66,500 hectares under vegetables.
Uzbekistan sowed potato on 42,500 hectares of land and forage crops on 75,600 hectares.
