Tashkent, Uzbekstan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference, organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies and IT Park, was held in New York (USA). The event was attended by a delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov.

The purpose of the conference is to familiarize American IT specialists and representatives of foreign businesses with the conditions created by Uzbekistan in the field of information technology.

The event was attended by representatives of leading companies operating in the USA and other foreign countries.

During the conference, it was noted that an International Center for Digital Technologies is being created in Uzbekistan at IT Park. From 1 June 2024, a special legal regime will be introduced in the center for 5 years.

Also, as an experiment, a “regulatory sandbox” will be introduced on the territory of the Center for the development and testing of innovations, services and business products in the field of digital technologies.

• On the territory of the Center, as an experiment, a special legal regime is being introduced in the following areas:
• Customs and taxation;
• Labor Relations;
• Financial and banking activities;
• Processing and protection of personal data;
• Provision of public services;
• Intellectual property protection;
• Consideration of commercial and civil disputes.

During the event, opinions were expressed on Uzbekistan’s support for business, the potential of youth, as well as on the International Center for Digital Technologies.

Business executives who attended the event were invited to the “Outsourcing Tour” event, which is planned to be held in Tashkent and Samarkand in March this year.
