Art and Culture Development Foundation strengthens cooperation with France

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Paris, Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan has signed several significant agreements with leading French organizations in the fields of culture, education, and heritage preservation. These agreements pave the way for enhanced bilateral cooperation and knowledge exchange.

A key highlight of the visit was the signing of an agreement between the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan and the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage (ALIPH). The document was signed by the Foundation’s chairperson and ALIPH’s Council Chair, Bariza Khiari. The agreement outlines joint restoration projects and provides Uzbek specialists with access to advanced heritage preservation techniques.

Additionally, the Foundation’s chairperson has joined the ALIPH Council, underscoring Uzbekistan’s growing role in global efforts to safeguard cultural heritage.

Another milestone was the signing of an agreement with the National Institute of Cultural Heritage of France. This collaboration will introduce an educational program for Uzbek heritage preservation specialists and facilitate training programs in France. The initiative aims to strengthen Uzbekistan’s professional expertise and integrate international standards into the country’s historical conservation efforts.

The Foundation also signed a cooperation protocol with the French Institute for Central Asian Studies. The agreement, signed by the Foundation’s deputy chairperson and the institute’s director, Marie Favereau, includes joint conferences, educational programs, and projects dedicated to preserving rare books and manuscripts. This partnership represents a significant step in studying and promoting Central Asian cultural heritage.

These agreements not only deepen cultural ties between Uzbekistan and France but also open new opportunities for education, research, and heritage preservation. The initiatives highlight Uzbekistan’s commitment to active participation in international projects and collaboration with leading global institutions.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Paris continues to showcase Uzbekistan’s dedication to fostering international partnerships in culture, education, and science.
