Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to August 2024, Uzbekistan exported 32.2 thousand tons of cherries to 16 countries, earning US$70.4 million, according to the Agency of Statistics.
Compared to the same period last year, the value of cherry exports increased by US$17.5 million.
The agency reported that Russia was the largest importer of Uzbek cherries, purchasing 25.4 thousand tons. Kazakhstan imported 3.5 thousand tons, while Kyrgyzstan acquired 2.7 thousand tons.
In addition, Belarus imported 193 tons, the United Arab Emirates 118 tons, China 91 tons, South Korea 28 tons, Malaysia 17.4 tons, and Saudi Arabia 7.1 tons of cherries.
