Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the end of 2020, Uzbekistan entered the top 10 countries in the world in gold mining. This was reported by Forbes, citing data from the World Gold Council.
Uzbekistan ranked 8th in the world in terms of gold production in 2020 with an indicator of 101.6 tonnes. In 2019, the country mined 94.6 tonnes of gold.
China with 368.3 tonnes of gold took first place in this rating. Russia is in second place with 331.1 tonnes. Australia closes the top three with a result of 327.8 tonnes.
The top 10 countries in the world for gold mining also included the United States (190.2 tonnes), Canada (170.6 tonnes), Ghana (138.7 tonnes), Brazil (107 tonnes), Mexico (101.6 tonnes) and Indonesia (100.9 tonnes).
