Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has concluded bilateral negotiations regarding its accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) with another country, according to Azizbek Urunov, the President’s Special Representative for WTO affairs, as shared on his LinkedIn page.
While Urunov did not specify the country involved, he noted that the negotiations were conducted in an emotional atmosphere. "But we achieved our goal," he added.
The chief negotiator for Uzbekistan’s WTO accession further stated that agreements have now been finalized with 23 countries, while discussions are ongoing with other partners.
Countries with which agreements have already been reached include the United States, China, the Philippines, Brazil, Sri Lanka, France, Italy, and Israel.
