Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 November 2024, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilhom Norkulov met with UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Akiko Fujii.
During the talks, key issues of Uzbekistan's socio-economic development were discussed, including job creation, support for entrepreneurship, and human capital development.
Special focus was given to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Uzbekistan. The parties reviewed primary areas of cooperation and explored opportunities to strengthen partnerships in these fields.
Additionally, the meeting covered urbanization and infrastructure development in the regions, with a particular emphasis on projects aimed at improving living standards in rural areas.
At the conclusion, both parties expressed their readiness to continue active cooperation to ensure sustainable economic growth in Uzbekistan and to strengthen partnership relations.
