Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 December 2024, tariffs for rail freight transport within Uzbekistan will increase by 30%, according to a statement from the press service of the Uzbekistan Railways (Uzbekiston Temir Yullari).
The tariff hike will affect the company's inventory wagons, with the increase varying depending on the type of wagons, including universal, specialized, and tank cars.
This measure is aimed at partially covering the rising costs associated with maintaining the wagon fleet and updating rolling stock.
The tariff increase is part of the transition to market-based regulation of transport service costs.
