Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 January, Ismatulla Irgashev, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, held a meeting with Pakistan's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Ahmed Farooq.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Pakistani relations, with a focus on the situation in Afghanistan and issues of regional security.

The meeting also addressed the implementation of transport and communication projects in Afghanistan, including the construction of the Trans-Afghan Railway.
