Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Nuclear Energy Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Director Azim Akhmedkhadzhaev, held negotiations with representatives of the Export-Import Bank of China (Eximbank).

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for attracting financial resources from China to support large-scale projects for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan.

The Chinese delegation was represented by Ye Linjun, Head of the Eurasian Regional Department, and Guo Mo, responsible for cooperation with Uzbekistan.

This cooperation marks an important step toward ensuring the financial sustainability and successful implementation of the project.

Earlier, the Uzbek delegation also held meetings with representatives of CNOS (CNNC) and Shanghai Electric. These discussions focused on technological cooperation and the potential involvement of Chinese companies in the implementation of nuclear energy projects in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the strategic importance of industrial and technological partnerships for the country.
