“Touristic rings” to be created in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from 2024, Uzbekistan will implement the “Another day of travel in Uzbekistan” program.

This is stipulated by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to significantly increase the flow of foreign tourists to the republic and further enhance domestic tourism.”

The program envisages increasing the duration of travel by creating “Touristic rings” connecting tourist attractions.

The following will be created:
“Republican Touristic rings” (interregional), connecting tourist attractions in the regions of the republic;
“regional touristic rings” (inter-district and intercity), connecting tourist attractions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent.

The Committee on Tourism, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Culture, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions and the city of Tashkent, is instructed to regularly award the Uzbekistan Tourism Industry Awards to the best tourist attractions and subjects included in the “Touristic rings”.

Uzbekistan will introduce a Unified Register of Tourist Destinations (routes) connecting tourist attractions in the republic.

The formation and maintenance of the Unified Register of Tourist Routes is carried out by the Committee on Tourism.

The Tourism Committee does not have copyrights on tourist routes included in the Unified Register.

When including road infrastructure facilities and engineering and communication networks of tourist facilities in the Program for the Development of Social and Industrial Infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for their improvement, priority is given to facilities included in the Unified Register.

Tour operators can use the information from the Unified Register free of charge when creating their tourist packages.
