Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Metrovagonmash JSC (MVM, which is part of Transmashholding JSC) sent five metro trains of model 81-765.5 / 766.5 / 767.5 to Tashkent Metro Unitary Enterprise.
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov, head of the Tashkent Metropolitan Unitary Enterprise Oybek Khudoykulov, senior managing director of VEB.RF Igor Shabanov, general director of Metrovagonmash Boris Bogatyrev.
The contract for the supply of five four-car trains for the Tashkent metro was signed in October 2018. According to the agreement, each train consists of two head motor cars, one intermediate motor car, one intermediate non-motor car. The service life of cars is 30 years. The manufacturer will also supply a set of spare parts and materials necessary for the maintenance of subway cars of this series, and will provide consulting services for maintenance personnel.
A number of technological innovations have been implemented in subway cars manufactured for the Tashkent metro. Trains have a through passage and wider doorways (1400 mm.) Compared to previous models, as well as a new light warning system for opening and closing doors. For a new generation of subway cars, low-stress wheels with sound absorbers have been developed. The design uses a modern asynchronous traction drive, environmentally friendly materials, and reliable sound and heat insulation of cars is ensured. The head cars have wheelchair seats. The salons have air conditioning, ventilation and air disinfection systems.
Metrovagonmash has been producing cars of the 81-765 / 766/767 series since the beginning of 2017 for the Moscow metro under the name Moscow. For Tashkent, the compositions of the updated modification are made that meet the requirements of the customer.
The Tashkent Metro and the MVM are connected by a long history of mutually beneficial cooperation. Since 1977, more than 20 metro trains have been delivered to the capital of Uzbekistan.
