Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The rich program of the historic visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Italian Republic has ended.

The head of state held fruitful talks in Rome with President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister George Meloni. A Joint Declaration was adopted on the establishment of strategic partnership relations between the two countries.

A meeting was also held with the Director General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization Qu Dongyu.

The visit continued with business events in Milan. Here, the President received the Governor of Lombardy, Attilio Fontana, held a round table with representatives of large Italian businesses, and also visited an exhibition of textile machinery.

At the end of the visit at Milan’s Malpense airport, the head of our state was seen off by the governor of the Lombardy region, Attilio Fontana, and other officials. The President left for Tashkent.
