Tajik, Uzbek presidents discuss cooperation over phone
A telephone conversation between Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov and Uzbek President Islom Karimov took place on evening of 4 July, Tajik Television First Channel reported.
The presidents of the two neighbouring countries expressed views on the state of and prospects for bilateral relations, and regarded working out specific measures to strengthen and expand cooperation as desirable.
The presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan also exchanged views on international and regional issues, touched on the issue of preparations for a meeting of the heads of state of the member countries of the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Community and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which will be held in Dushanbe in October this year, and considered [it] a useful consultation.LATEST NEWS
