Pakhtakor Tashkent defeated Ventspils of Latvia in penalty shoot-outs to book place in semi-finals of CIS Cup-2008. As earlier reported, the teams faced each other in final match of CIS Cup in 2007 and Uzbek champions won that match on penalty shoot-outs.
