Government of Uzbekistan set requirements to car parks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 May 2010, only legal entities can render paid services on temporary storage of vehicles in Uzbekistan. At the same time, legal entities should possess permission of local government to organize car parks.

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures on ordering activity of legal entities, rendering paid services on temporary storage of vehicles”. The resolution approved the regulation on ordering activity on rendering paid services on temporary storage of vehicles. The regulation said only legal entities can render paid services on temporary storage of vehicles from 1 May 2010.

The resolution said that legal entities, which will continue to render temporary storage services without permission after 1 May 2010, will be called into account in line with legislation and they will be considered as working without permission documents.

The regulation set requirements for places of temporary storage of vehicles. In particular, the car parks should have firm coverage, lightening, rubbish containers and anti-fire means.

The car parks should have special places for entry and exit and they should be constructed taking into account security of traffic. The special boxes for accepting payment should be placed in entry and exit places. The document said the legal entities should show charges with large fonts (at least 3 cm) in entry and exit areas.

Legal entities, rendering paid services on temporary storage of vehicles, should have cash machine with fiscal memory and POS-terminal to accept payments in banking payment cards.

The payments for services are paid in set tariff plans, set by legal entities. But the fees cannot exceed tariffs set by the local administrations. The customers pay for services during exit and legal entities should issue cheque.

Legal entities, who used services of paid car parks, can pay for services in cash and with use of corporate banking payment cards.

Revenues received from rendered services should be directed to banks on daily bases in line with the legislation of Uzbekistan.
