Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 April 2024, the second meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Strategic Dialogue “Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf” will be held in Tashkent.

The delegations from Central Asian countries - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Council member countries - Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia will take part in the event.

The meeting will include consideration of the progress in the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the first summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, held on 19 July 2023 in Jeddah, discussion of the development of cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communications, cultural- humanitarian fields, as well as in the field of security and environmental protection.

There will also be an exchange of views on preparations for the next Summit in the “Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council” format in Samarkand in 2025.

Following the event, it is planned to adopt a joint statement.
