Uzbekistan seeks more cooperation with Iran

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan attaches great importance to upgrading its trade relations with Iran, an Uzbek official said.
Elyor Ganiyen, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan, said in interview to IRNA that Uzbekistan wants full cooperation with Iran.
He said the sides could develop ties in cultural, trade and economic fields. The Uzbek official hoped the two countries would reach agreements on further cooperation during his visit to Iran.
The Uzbek minister left for Tehran to attend the 10th meeting of Iran-Uzbekistan joint economic commission, scheduled for 17-18 January.
