Uzbekistan restricts access to 27 sites advertising bookmaker services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Regarding the facts of advertising of betting and bookmaker services by artists, athletes and bloggers on social networks, corresponding letters were sent to the internal affairs bodies.
In addition, 11 letters were sent to the internal affairs bodies regarding the advertising of betting and bookmaker services by pop stars, athletes and bloggers on social networks.
In total, more than 24 thousand studies were conducted on the compatibility of advertising placed in the media, the Internet and social networks, outdoor advertising media with regulatory documents. Of these, in more than 8,000 cases, various deficiencies were identified and measures were taken to eliminate them.
Moreover, in recent years, more than 4.5 thousand advertisements on social networks have been studied. Of these, 144 violations of the law were identified on Facebook, 344 on Instagram, and 4,108 on Telegram.
About 150 requests received from the Ministry of Health regarding advertising of dietary supplements, ointments, balms, tinctures, medicinal and mineral waters were studied. In 103 cases, violations were identified and corrected.
In addition, the Committee, together with the responsible authorities, examined more than 9 thousand advertising objects for compliance with the rules of the state language. Of these, more than 3 thousand (35%) did not meet the requirements. Based on these facts, measures were taken to eliminate them.
