Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan received the first batch of 18-meter-long buses from China in March.
The Chinese company King Long has produced the first batch of buses with an 18-meter cabin. Buses run on compressed gas. Buses are equipped with cylinders of the maximum level of safety.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, the supply of 200 vehicles will be delivered to Uzbekistan from March to April 2023.
The buses are painted in the usual green color for Tashkent. They have four doors and are air conditioned.
Zhou Weiyi, head of overseas product development of King Long, said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that high-strength metal is used in the interiors of buses, which will extend their service life.
On 16 February 2023, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution that envisages the purchase of new buses. Tashkent, in particular, will receive 1,000 buses, including 200 with long buses.
The Chinese company Yutong will also supply 700 vehicles, including 300 electric buses, to Uzbekistan.
