Uzbekistan’s national stand presented at ITB Berlin travel fair

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 7 to 9 March 2023, the traditional international tourist exhibition "ITB Berlin" is held in Berlin, where the national stand of Uzbekistan is also presented.

Uzbek delegation, presenting national stand at "ITB Berlin-2023" tourist exhibition, makes proposals on popularization of tourism potential of the country, new tourism directions and, of course, Tashkent International Tourism Fair, which is bright reflection of tourism industry of the country.

The Uzbek delegation at "ITB Berlin-2023" was presented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, SUE "National PR Centre", JSC "Uzbekistan Airways", manager of the tourist complex "Silk Road Samarkand", travel companies of Uzbekistan: Compass, Creative Tours, Peopletravel, Asia Tour Elite, Asia Advetures, EuroAsia Travel, Central Asia Travel, Marakanda Travel, Sezam Travel and Silk Road Travel.

At the stand of Uzbekistan, which has been a permanent participant at ITB Berlin since 2009, colourful cultural performances presented the national traditions, customs and rituals of our country. As part of the event, plov, the main historical dish of our dastarkhan, was prepared and handed out to visitors.

On the first day of the exhibition, the Uzbek delegation held a number of business meetings and signed cooperation agreements to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential abroad and increase the flow of tourists with BBC News TV channel, the Australian publishing company "Lonely Planet", the Korean travel company "Curious Korea", the German company "IPD (Import Promotion Desk)", the media company "Dudes. com and IT company Amedeus, Allianz selbständiger Reiseunternehmen - Bundesverband e.V.". 

There were also meetings with representatives of tour operators "FTI Touristik" and "Globalis Erlebnisreisen", the Turkmen travel company "Pearl of Asia", the Saudi Travel Company "Saudi International Travel Company", as well as the Indian travel corporation "OTM" and the Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd.

ITB Berlin is the world’s leading travel trade fair since 1966. The ITB Berlin convention is the largest event for international tourism. The fair was held online at itb.com and included more than 100 sessions with 223 speakers from 125 countries. More than 60,700 people attended the fair.
