Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to be able to open bank accounts remotely

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 May 2023, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs (IEs) will be able to open bank accounts remotely.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on streamlining the procedures for submitting reports and storing archival documents.

The document notes that from 1 May 2023, commercial banks will be allowed to remotely open accounts for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. Only residents of Uzbekistan will be able to use this opportunity. In this case, it is necessary to have conditions for the remote identification of the applicant.
