Chairman of the Senate and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China hold talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 July 2020, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva held an online meeting with Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National Council of People’s Representatives of the People’s Republic of China Li Zhanshu.

During the dialogue, the parties focused on the issues of strengthening a comprehensive strategic partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the PRC, as well as strengthening the interaction of parliaments in the implementation of agreements at the highest level.

Issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation within the framework of the chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the SCO this year were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on intensifying contacts between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the National People’s Congress of China.
