Areas of cooperation with the UN were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Finance held a meeting with the UN Permanent Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Roli Asthana.

The meeting was attended by Director of the State Budget Department of the Ministry of Finance Sherzod Mukhamedov, Director of the Department of International Financial Relations Ajiniyaz Kaipnazarov, Deputy Director of the Department of Budget Policy in the Spheres of Social Protection and State Social Services Rafael Klivleev, economist of the UN Mission in Uzbekistan Zarif Dzhumayev and public relations specialist Anvar Meliboyev.

The main purpose of the meeting was to exchange views on the further development of bilateral cooperation and increase the effectiveness of joint projects. At the same time, he spoke about the Initiative Budget, the Single Registry for Social Protection and similar projects implemented in cooperation with UN organizations, as well as measures taken to ensure stability and finance the Sustainable Development Strategy and government projects.

The parties also discussed issues such as PPP projects, financing of healthcare and education.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation on the issues under discussion.
