Electrical products of Uzbekistan entered the markets of Yemen, UAE, Syria, Latvia and Tanzania

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the results of the first quarter of 2022, the volume of industrial production in the system of Uzeltekhsanoat made up 3.6 trillion soum, growth compared to the same period last year amounted to 17.1%. 

The export volume is about US$150 million. This is 1.4 times more than in the same period of last year. Namoz Tolipov, head of the information service of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, announced this at a briefing.

There are also project proposals for the creation of a "Copper Industry Cluster" based on the creation of a multi-level value chain "from raw materials to finished products."

For this purpose, a land plot of 160 hectares has been allocated in Akhangaran district of Tashkent region. Currently, 12 projects worth US$168 million have been formed, which will create more than 4,500 new jobs. 

Additional products worth 250 million dollars will be sent for export. With the launch of projects, there will be capacities for processing more than 80 thousand tons of copper.
