Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 March, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov held a meeting with Philippe Orliange, Director of the Orients Department of the French Development Agency.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilkhom Norkulov, Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov, Director of the Regional Office of the French Development Agency Vincent Kaupin, Head of the Agency for Central Asia and Armenia Axelle Nos, Head of the Office in Uzbekistan Antoine Chevalier and other responsible persons.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues on the changes implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, the development of mutual cooperation, joint projects, the main directions of economic development, in particular, the transition to a green economy and its development prospects, the reduction of emissions of exhaust and toxic gases, a macroeconomic analysis of the transition to green economy, and poverty reduction.

Also during the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the ongoing economic and social policy during the pandemic, cooperation with international financial organizations, the formation of mechanisms for the development of a green economy, and the creation of the necessary conditions for the production of electric vehicles.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand mutual ties and develop cooperation on the above issues.
