Tokyo 2020: our para-judoka Sharif Khalilov wins bronze
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Our para-judoka Sharif Khalilov won a bronze medal at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
Our compatriot, who climbed the tatami in the weight category up to 100 kg, won the bronze match with judoka Antonio da Silva from Brazil and became the prize-winner of the Paralympic Games for the second time. Sharif Khalilov won a silver medal at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
Thus, the number of medals won by the Uzbek sports delegation at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020 has reached 12. Our team has four gold, silver and bronze medals, and in the overall standings our team is in 12th place.
