Through the Call-center with a single short number 1003, the population receives well-grounded answers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From the first days of the coronavirus pandemic in our country, even in a difficult situation, a system of timely response to questions about the disease, medical consultation was established.
In particular, on 15 March 2020, the Ministry of Health launched a Call Center with a single short number 1003. Our citizens call this number and receive clear and reasonable answers to all questions related to coronavirus infection from qualified specialists.
The call center is still open 24 hours a day. In the midst of the pandemic, more than 200 professors, teachers, doctors in three shifts continuously answered questions from citizens. And now 30 specialists take calls in three shifts.
Among them are candidates and doctors of medical sciences, qualified specialists who provide medically justified answers and recommendations to questions related to coronavirus infection.
Currently, 200-300 people apply to the Call Center per day. Sometimes this figure rises to 400. Over the past 10 days, 2,600 citizens have called.
If you pay attention to the frequently asked questions, then in the early days of the pandemic, the population wanted to learn more about coronavirus infection, the ways of its transmission and symptoms, and prevention rules. However, the issues have now changed significantly as public awareness has increased significantly. That is, today they ask such questions as what strains of the virus are registered in our country, how they differ from each other, what their symptoms are expressed in children.
Particularly relevant are questions about vaccination against coronavirus. People are interested in how the vaccination process is organized, whether it is necessary to be vaccinated before traveling to another country, which population groups are vaccinated in the first place, which vaccine to take and others.
Most citizens ask for the addresses and phone numbers of hospitals in the city of Tashkent and regions where patients with COVID-19 are treated.
Unfortunately, some people confuse the Call Center with the ambulance service - 103. However, their functions are completely different from each other. Nevertheless, the operators of the Call Center, politely and professionally giving advice to citizens and guiding them correctly, fully answer any questions.
Due to a sharp decrease in the number of calls to the Call Center on the short number 1105, which provided medical advice and information around the clock to patients treated at home or in quarantine, on 27 November 2020, the activities of this center were temporarily suspended and its functions were transferred Call-center with short number 1003.
