Uzbekistan names judo squad for last “Grand Slam”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The last Grand Slam tournament of the Olympic cycle will be held in Kazan (Russian Federation) on 5-7 May. Uzbek judokas will also take part in this competition, who will compete for valuable rating points in Tokyo 2020.
According to the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan, 15 of our athletes will take part in the Grand Slam. It should be noted that in the list of participants, we can see some young athletes. According to the decision of the coaching staff, the leaders of our team, who occupy the leading positions in the Olympic rankings, will not participate in the Grand Slam.
