Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Government resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for reimbursing part of the costs of agricultural producers for the introduction of water-saving technologies and the return of the subsidy provided.
According to the Regulation, a subsidy for the introduction of water-saving irrigation technology is allocated from the State budget only once for each circuit.
Subsidies are allocated:
The Ministry of Water Resources to cover part of the costs of introducing drip irrigation technology for growing cotton;
The Ministry of Agriculture to cover part of the costs for the introduction of water-saving technologies for the cultivation of grain crops, vegetables and potatoes, melons and fodder crops, oats, legumes and medicinal plants, for leveling the land using laser equipment, as well as for the purchase of automated land-planning units with a laser installation produced by domestic manufacturers;
The Agency for the Development of Horticulture and Greenhouse Economy to cover part of the costs for the introduction of water-saving irrigation technologies for the cultivation of fruit crops and grapes (with the exception of the technical variety of the vine plantation, which is grown industrially), as well as the Agency for the Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market and the Development of Winemaking for Plantations grapes of a technical variety grown in an industrial way.
Farmers who have received subsidies through the introduction of water-saving technology, if this technology is not used, in the appropriate manner return the subsidy to the ministries and departments that allocated them in the following amounts:
if not used in the first year - 100 percent of the subsidy;
if not used in the second year - 80 percent of the subsidy;
if not used in the third year - 60 percent of the subsidy;
if not used in the fourth year - 40 percent of the subsidy;
if not used in the fifth year - 20 percent of the subsidy.
If farmers fully utilize this technology within five years, then the subsidy provided will be left entirely at their disposal.
Also, persons who have sent video recordings about cases of non-use of water-saving technologies by the public in accordance with the established procedure will be encouraged by monetary rewards.
The promotion is carried out once a year in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the subsidy charged to applicants. The monetary reward is transferred to the bank card of the person who provided the information.
