Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For the first time in the history of independent Uzbekistan, on 19 January 2021, a meeting of the Coordination Council for the development of legal sciences in the country was held.
As noted by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in one of his speeches, the development of legal education and science in our country is one of the key factors in ensuring the effectiveness of cardinal socio-economic and political and legal reforms that determine its future prospects.
In this regard, more than 10 decrees and resolutions of the Head of State, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers and other regulatory legal acts were adopted.
An important step in the implementation of a new level of development in the country of legal education and science was the adoption by the Presidium of the country's Academy of Sciences of the decision to create a Coordination Council for the development of legal sciences in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is a permanent consulting and coordinating body that provides advice and develops research topics on topical issues in the field of scientific work, improving the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, the formation and implementation of key areas of legal science.
The organizer of the first online meeting of the Coordination Council for the Development of Legal Sciences in the country was the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by over 70 legal experts, including the Chairman of the Coordination Council A. Saidov, director of the Institute of State and Law A. Tulyaganov, professors Y. Tashkulov, R. Khakimov, O. Okyulov, F. Otakhanov, M. Rustamboev, M. .Tillaboev and other famous scientists, practitioners from all over the republic.
The priorities of the Council this year are the most important tasks for the further development of the country in 2021, called the "Year of Support for Youth and Public Health", which are noted in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis. During the meeting, the priority tasks to be solved were discussed.
In particular, these include tasks to improve the level of academic legal research in the country, to achieve a new quality of effectiveness of legal research to determine the future prospects of radical socio-economic and political-legal reforms in the country. Issues such as establishing effective cooperation between scientific and educational institutions, further improving the quality of scientific dissertations, and extensive media coverage of the results of scientific legal research were discussed in detail.
