Banks of Uzbekistan issues 24.48 million plastic cards

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The number of bank plastic cards in circulation as of 1 November 2020 is more than 24.48 million units. This was reported by the press service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

Khalq Bank (5.54 million cards), Agrobank (3.08 million) and National Bank of Uzbekistan (2.72 million) are leaders in terms of the number of cards issued.

According to the regulator, 438,380 payment terminals and 11,570 ATMs and self-service kiosks have been installed in Uzbekistan.

The leaders in terms of the number of terminals installed were Khalq Bank (55,872), Agrobank (47,271) and Ipoteka Bank (44,835).

Kapitalbank (3,036), Agrobank (1,865) and Khalq Bank (1,006) installed the largest number of ATMs and info kiosks.

Receipts through payment terminals during January-October 2020 exceeded 65.06 trillion soums.
