Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi organized negotiations with representatives of the Uzbekzargarsanoati Association, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Indian jewelry company C. Mansukhlal Jewelers, Dunyo reported.
C. Mansukhlal Jewelers is one of India’s leading jewelry companies. It is located in the city of Surat (Gujarat state) and specializes in creating exclusive wedding jewelry.
During the negotiations held in the form of a videoconference, issues of organizing the production of jewelry in Khorezm region were discussed.
Deputy Chairman of the Association "Uzbekzargarsanoati" N. Mirakhmedov presented information on reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of development of the jewelry industry.
In turn, FIPA deputy director O. Elmuratov informed the Indian side about the investment climate in the country as part of the Invest in Uzbekistan presentation. It is also reported that jewelry occupies a special place in the Uzbek culture, and the exchange of experience with Indian specialists in the development and production of jewelry is intended to assist the development of the jewelry industry in the republic.
Director of the Indian company, Nayan Ranpura, noted that the investment opportunities that Uzbekistan offers today and the convenient geographical location of the country are very attractive for Indian business. He announced his readiness to visit the republic for a detailed acquaintance with the favorable conditions created in the country and for establishing contacts with local jewelry manufacturing enterprises.
