Uzbek-Chinese consultations take place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and China held the second round of consultations on consular and legal issues in Tashkent on 10 May 2019.
The delegation of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC was headed by its director, Cui Aimin, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
The delegations discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the consular and legal sphere, in particular the implementation of the Consular Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China, the draft intergovernmental Agreement on visa facilitation for representatives of the business circles of the two states, the prospects for opening the PRC visa center in Uzbekistan, as well as other issues related to the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens on the territory of the states of the parties.
During the consultations, an exchange of views was also held on the prospects for further cooperation in the consular and legal sphere.
