Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Five new small industrial zones will be created in Tashkent. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on establishment of small industrial zones in the capital.
According to the document, Mirzo-Ulugbek small industrial zone, Almazar small industrial zone, Mirabad small industrial zone, Chilanzar small industrial zone and Bektimir small industrial zone will be in Tashkent.
Production areas and land plots located in the territory of small industrial zones are provided to business entities for long-term lease for a period of 10 years with subsequent extension for a similar period, subject to the implementation of agreements on the implementation of projects and timely payment of all taxes and other mandatory payments.
At the same time, preferential rent rates for production areas and land plots are established.
Mini-banks, single centers “one stop shop” and representative offices of the Fund for Support of Export of Small Business and Private Entrepreneurs will be opened in the zones.
The participants of the zones will receive tax breaks for two years. If they export at least 30% of their production, the tax breaks will be prolonged for two more years.
The benefits will be applied to members of industrial zone made investments for at least 3,000 minimal sizes of salary. If their annual revenue is below 2,000 minimal sizes of salary, the benefits will be annulled and they should pay taxes for previous year.
