Cartoon “The Steppe Tale 2” presented in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation of ecologic cartoon “The Steppe Tale 2” was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The cartoon is continuation of adventures of small saiga, with which the audience could familiarize in the first part of the cartoon.
Both parts of the cartoon are aimed at improving knowledge of youth in ecologic issues and protection of animals. The cartoons covers issues related to problems of preserving saiga.
Saiga was important resource for people, living in Uzbekistan. Saiga were hunted for their meat and horns. Horns of Saiga are used in traditional medicine in China. Uzbekistan plans to create new reserve at Ustyurt Plateau to preserve saiga, population of which is decreasing with high tempo.
The cartoons are one of ways to promote protection of saiga. The cartoons also pays attention to issues related to balancing industrial development and nature protection.
