US to continue dialogue with Central Asian states

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The United States are planning to continue a dialogue with the countries of Central Asia in format C5+1, the Deputy Assistant of the United States Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Daniel Rosenblum said.
C5+1 format was created in 2015. The US Secretary of State John Kerry held a meeting with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of five countries of Central Asia in New York. In November, Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and US Secretary of State John Kerry held C5+1 format meeting in Samarkand and adopted Samarkand declaration.
Rosenblum underlined that the US will continue work on development of dialogue with Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in format C5+1 in 2016.
He said that the US will work with its partners in Central Asia to boost C5+1 format and determine concrete directions.
He recalled that in Samarkand the ministries agreed to hold a meeting in 2016 in the format again to discuss general interests of the US and region.
