Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Saker falcons, which are included to the Red Book and bred at Tugan Falcornry Club, were released to wild nature in Tashkent on 4 December, the State Nature Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The ecologic campaign was organized by the State Nature Committee of Uzbekistan and Tugan Falcornry Club.
In early 2015, four saker falcons were born at the club. The club specialists decided to release two of birds to wild nature and keep two of them for further reproduction.
Denis Tsoy, director of Tugan Falconry Club, said that the club needed a year for breeding saker falcons, while nurseries need 3-4 years to receive the first descendants. He said that sake falcons received from Tashkent Zoo gave posterity.
All birds of Tugan Falconry Club are ringed, which will help to protect them. The rings will help easily recognize birds and help to prevent illegal import of birds to abroad.
