MPs consider several draft laws

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan considered a draft law “On electronic government” in the first reading.
According to the press service of the Legislative Chamber, the parliament analyzed advanced global experience in forming and developing electronic government and efficient form of organization and technological principles of e-government system at development of the draft law.
MPs noted that adoption of the document will help to determine main directions of introduction of the e-government, expand use of the information technologies in the activities of the state bodies at interaction with the citizens and organizations, which will help to ensure openness and transparency of the state bodies.
The law will create conditions to realization and introduction of the demanded electronic state services and improve interaction of the state bodies. The law is directed at formation of open and constructive environment for interaction of the state with citizens and organizations, MP Erkin Halbutaev said.
MP Shukhrat Sharafutdinov said that the law was widely discussed with attraction of local and foreign specialists. It included advanced experience of the US, Germany, Austria and South Korea, which achieved significant results in introduction of e-government systems.
MPs also considered some other draft laws, envisaging introduction of changes and amendments to Economic Procedural Code, Budget Code and the law “On execution of court acts and acts of other bodies”.
Uzbekistan plans from 1 January 2016 introduce an order in line with the which civil courts can send court subpoena, decisions and other documents in electronic form.
Amending the law, Uzbekistan plans to allow to send execution list or judicial order, as well as other documents in electronic form with use of electronic digital signature.
It is wad noted that the amendments will improve efficiency of the courts, decrease expenses and time to execution of the court decisions.
MPs also considered some draft laws, directed to introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan.
