Japan is one of the leading countries of the world, with huge political, economic, intellectual and investment potential. The official visit of Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Uzbekistan has clearly shown that our States are time-tested reliable partners.
During the meeting the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the two countries and prospects for its further development as well as actual problems of regional and international politics of mutual interest. UzLiDeP considers that this visit is another opportunity to further strengthening the partnership, which is a solid basis for the further expansion and deepening of bilateral relations in all spheres. As the President Islam Karimov noted, that Japan and Uzbekistan have great economic potential of natural resources and high technology, intellectual and scientific, financial and human resources which complement each other.
The sides paid particular attention to the issues of strengthening security and stability, partnership in fight against terrorism. At the same time, in the result of the negotiations, Uzbekistan and Japan signed agreements for US$8.5 billion to develop energy, communication, transport and others.
In this context, UzLiDeP interests the mutually beneficial cooperation with the Japanese deputies to create a favorable investment climate for the further development of business in trade, economic, investment, financial, technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Fruitful and constructive exchange of views in the framework of the official visit of Shinzo Abe to Uzbekistan have confirmed the similarity of positions and approaches in all areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as regarding discussed issues of regional and international politics.
UzLiDeP believes that the huge economic potential of our country, modern transport communications, favorable investment environment increase the interest of business community in Japan in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan.
In this regard, a number of agreements on cooperation in many fields, particularly in energy, oil and gas, chemical industry, geology, banking and finance, medical, tourism, agriculture, automotive industry have been signed during the business forum.
