Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan mined 1.789 million tonnes of coal in the first half of 2014, which decreased by 11.4% year-on-year, the press service of Uzbekkomir (Uzbek coal).
According to Uzbekkomir, in the reporting period Uzbekkomir mined 1.674 million tonnes of coal (-10.3%), Shargunkomir – 63,300 tonnes (+58.3%) and Apartal – 51,800 tonnes (-54.2%).
The enterprises of the Uzbek coal industry supplied 1.829 million tonnes of coal to consumers, which decreased by 14.5% year-on-year. Uzbekkomir delivered 1.712 million tonnes of coal to consumers (-13.1%), Shargunkomir – 66,200 tonnes of coal (+45.2%) and Apartak – 51,300 tonnes (-59.1%).
The volume of produced goods in current prices made up 187.2 billion soums in January-June 2015, which rose by 51.6% year-on-year.
Production of localized products grew by 14.1% in the first half of 2015, goods for 1.8 billion soums were produced and realized.
In the reporting period, the volume of used capital investments of Uzbekkomir made up 72.9 billion soums.
