Turkish FM to visit Uzbekistan on 10-12 July

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on 10-12 July 2014, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey said.
“The visit is particularly important since it will be the first visit after 13 years at the level of Foreign Ministers from Turkey to Uzbekistan,” Turkish ministry added.
During the talks to be held within the framework of the visit, opportunities will be discussed to improve the relations and cooperation between the two countries on the basis of equal partnership and mutual benefit, and views on regional and international issues concerning both countries will be exchanged.
"Foreign Minister Davutoğlu will also visit the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, which occupy an important place in our common historical and cultural heritage," the statement reads.
"The visit, enabling invigoration of dialogue and consultation channels between the two countries, will lend impetus to our relations based on the multifaceted close ties between the Turkish and Uzbek people," the statement added.
