Vladimir Norov hands over credential to King of Belgium

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belgium Vladimir Norov handed over credentials of the King of Belgium Philippe I, the Jahon news agency reported.
After the ceremony of handing over credentials, the sides discussed issues of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Belgium. King Philippe I positively rated modern state of the Uzbek-Belgium cooperation and affirmed intention of Belgium for further developing mutual beneficial relations with the official Tashkent.
The positive character of friendly relations between two nations was also noted. The sides underlined great untapped potential for further developing bilateral cooperation, boosting political and economic contacts.
At the end of the meeting, King Philippe I positively rated achievements of Uzbekistan during the independence years and expressed frank success and prosperity to leadership and people of Uzbekistan.
Vladimir Norov replaced Bakhtiyar Gulyamov at the post of envoy to Belgium, who became Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United State in July 2013.
Prior to appointment, Norov had worked as the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs since December 2010. In 2005-2006, he already worked as envoy of Uzbekistan to Belgium and head of mission of Uzbekistan to the European Union and NATO.
