Eurocement plans to increase its stake in Agangarancement to 100%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian company Eurocement Holding AG is planning to increase its stake in Ahangarancement open joint stock company up to 100%.
Currently, Eurocement Holding AG owns 83.9186% or 4,136,269 shares in the Uzbek cement producer, Ahangarancement.
In line with the legislation of Uzbekistan, Eurocement Holding AG announced about its intention to buy additional 792,637 shares of Ahangarancement or 16.0814% stake in the company.
If the deal goes through, Eurocement Holding AG will own 4,928,906 shares in Ahangarancement, which will make up 100% in its charter capital.
Open joint stock company Ahangarancement was founded in 1961. Its total capacity makes up 1.736 million tonnes a year. From July 2006, it is part of Eurocement (Russia). The plant produces several types of cement. It is the second largest cement producer in Uzbekistan.
Ahangarancement produced 565,200 tonnes of clinker (half finished product for production of cement) and 739,500 tonnes of cement in January-June 2013, which grew by 12.8% (64,300 tonnes) and 1.4% (10,300 tonnes) year-on-year.
