Female employees of Uzbekistan Railways to be examined for breast cancer

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Female employees of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari state joint stock railway company (Uzbekistan Railways) will undergo free medical examination for breast cancer on 30-31 July 2013 within the cooperation of the “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association.
The campaign is aimed at raising knowledge of women on breast cancer and revealing breast cancer in early stage. The breast cancer doctor, cancer specialists and other doctors will examine women during the campaign.
The event was organized by the “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association and Uzbekistan Temir Yollari at the assistance of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
Currently, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari employs over 14,000 women, of which over 11,400 are women at reproductive age and 10,600 underwent medical examination in early 2013.
The examination revealed that 5,864 women had extragenital diseases and 1,115 women had gynecological diseases. The primary examination showed that there is need to examine female employees of the Uzbekistan Temir Yollari for breast cancer.
